Who we are
Benson Studio is a web design studio run by Michael Benson, based in Prague, Czech Republic. The data controller for this website is Eternia services s.r.o., IČO 02748801, registered office Seifertova 1021/19, 130 00 Praha 3 – Žižkov, Czech Republic — the company that operates the Benson Studio brand. What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount stored on your own device to make the site behave the way you left it.
- Enquiry form: your name, email address, and the answers you give about your project: type of project, budget range, timeline, project details, and optionally your company name, existing website and any extra notes.
- Preferences stored on your device:whether interface sound is on or off, your chosen display currency, and your cookie choice. These are kept in your browser's local storage, are never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
- Usage data: if, and only if, you allow analytics cookies, pages visited, approximate location and device type, collected via Google Analytics. Decline and no analytics script is loaded at all.
How we use it
Enquiry details are used to reply to you and to prepare a quote. They are never sold, and never passed to anyone for marketing. Analytics data, where you have allowed it, is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and where it can be improved.
Legal basis
We process enquiry data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. Analytics is processed solely on the basis of the consent you give in the cookie notice. This is in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we share it with
Enquiries are received and stored through Netlify Forms, which hosts this website and acts as a data processor under its own privacy terms. Netlify stores each submission and forwards it to us by email. Analytics, if you have allowed it, is processed by Google. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies it can set are Google Analytics cookies, and only after you allow them. See the cookie policy for the detail.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a record of quoted work. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent at any time. Just email michael@bensons.studio. If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new last updated date.
