Cookie Policy

The short version

This site sets no cookies of its own. It stores three small preferences in your browser so it behaves the way you left it, and it will only load Google Analytics if you explicitly allow it.

Preferences stored on your device

These are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and they are not used to identify you.

• Sound: whether the interface sound is switched on or off.
• Currency: which currency you chose to see prices in.
• Cookie choice: whether you allowed analytics, so you are not asked on every visit.

A fourth value records that you have already seen the opening animation, so it is not replayed as you move around during the same visit. It is cleared when you close the tab.

Analytics cookies

If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics is loaded and sets its own cookies (typically named things like _ga), recording anonymised information about pages visited, approximate location and device type. IP addresses are anonymised.

If you choose Essential only, the analytics script is never requested. Declining is a genuine decline, not a cookie set anyway.

What we don't use

No advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies from any party. No social media pixels. No third-party fonts loaded at runtime: the typefaces are served from this site's own domain, so your visit is not reported to a font provider.

Changing your mind

Change your choice at any time on the cookie preferences page. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings works too, and also removes every other value listed above, so you will be asked again on your next visit. Blocking analytics does not affect how the site works.

Third-party cookies

Google Analytics is operated by Google and has its own privacy practices, covered in Google's privacy policy.
